　　The newest results and historical review of the studies on the climate of China are given in the book,which highlights the research achievements carried out by the Chinese scientists over the mainland ofChina. The aim of compiling the book is to provide more or less complete information about climaticstudies of China not only to Chinese, but also to foreign readers, who may or may not be familiar withChinese language, or it is difficult for them to find out the literature in Chinese.
