傅若农,1930年出生于绥远省(现为内蒙古自治区)兴和县,1950年毕业于北平河北高中,同年考入北京大学化学系学习,1953年毕业(当时由于第一个五年计划开始,国家让1949年和1950年入学的理工科学生提前毕业参加国家的建设工作),同年到北京工业学院化工系工作。1986年被聘为教授,同年被国务院学位委员会批准为博士研究生导师。多年来从事色谱分析方面的教学和研究工作,研究方向为:气相色谱新固定相,毛细管气相色谱固定相,裂解气相色谱和毛细管电泳。
1998年退休前完成了多项兵器科研和自然科学基金研究项目,在国内外著名期刊(如美国的分析化学,荷兰的色谱杂志,中国的《化学学报》、《分析化学》等)发表论文近200篇,有三分之一是发表在SCI收录的期刊上。在国内外学术会议上发表论文学40多篇,有多篇是大会报告。出版学术专著三本:《气相色谱和热分析技术》(国防工业出版社,1989)《高分辨气相色谱和高分辨裂解气相色谱》(北京理工大学出版社,1992)《近代色谱分析》(国防工业出版社,1998)。1989年后主编了两版《色谱技术丛书》(化学工业出版社)。47年来,培养出硕士生30名,博士生16名。
退休以后还参加了科技部组织的“科学仪器研制与开发”项目的“十五”和“十一五”国家科技攻关重大项目的跟踪专家组,进行了多次检查和验收工作。
