吴越民,浙江大学副教授,男,浙江大学外语学院、浙江大学跨文化交际研究所副教授,硕士生导师,江西师范大学英语系本科毕业,兰州大学英语语言文学研究生毕业,浙江大学新闻学硕士。近年来开设的主要课程有《西方新闻语言》、《中英语言与文化比较》、《大学英语》等。曾获浙江大学外国语学院“优秀教师奖”,浙江大学2004年度“刘丹奖教金”,浙江大学2007年度“刘丹奖教金”。目前所从事的研究工作包括:跨文化交际;传播与文化;新闻英语;媒介批评理论。
《外语·文化·教学论丛:文化语境中的西方新闻话语》把新闻文本作为话语分析的对象,把话语研究和媒体研究结合起来,重点论述媒体中最重要的一种话语类型:报纸中的新闻,同时把新闻话语置于文化语境中来研究。主要讨论报纸报道中的新闻、新闻话语、新闻文化和新闻价值、新闻标题、新闻导语、新闻结构、新闻用词和新闻修辞,使读者对西方新闻语言有个比较深入的了解。
