　　    China Radio & TV Universities （CRTVUs）， through more than 20 years of operation， have accumulated a wealth of practical experience in teaching & research， management & technology，The experience has been used in research ot distance education principles to enrich distance education theory. The Distance Education Academic Committee of Higher Education Institutrons ot China Association for Educational Technology has now selected a series of case studies and research findings in distance education with Chinese characteristics and will recommend them to our counterparts who have supported or are conducting research on distance education. This may also be considered as a contribution ot CRTVUs to the international distance education research. We wish to take this opportunity to thank all of the distance education experts from abroad who have heiped us in facititating the development ot GRTVUs.
