　　    宫东风，1965年出生，1989年毕业于河北师范大学，获学士学位，1990-1992年于北京外国语大学在职研究生班进修英语，主修翻译和英语语法。现任河北农业大学英语系二级讲师。

　　    《现代英语教程（第2版）》是一套专为中国成人高等教育学生编写的教材。依据《全国成人高等教育英语课程教学基本要求（非英语专业专科用）》和《大学英语课程教学要求》，在大量调查研究和教学实践的基础上编写而成。以博采众长、兼收并蓄的“综合法”  （Method Synergistics）为理论指导，侧重传统方法。突出“成人、业余、实用”的特点。
　　    注意语言文化内涵，培养学生语言“得体性”意识。强调语言实践，突出重点，重视学生的基本功训练。
