　　    《高级英语系列录像：视听指南》是中央广播电视大学与英国文化委员会和北京外国语大学合作开展的“远距离英语教学项目”的核心成果之一，是电大开放教育英语本科的配套音像教材。该系列录像将语言教学与文化背景知识融为一体。在为学习者展现真实、地道英语语言的同时，提供了相关的文化背景知识，内容丰富，形式多样，既有在英、美等国家当地拍摄的风土人情，又有对英、美等国家普通人生活与工作的采访，具有很强的知识性、趣味性及观赏性。本系列节日由具有丰富电视教学经验的英国专家主讲，由我校长期从事电视英语教学的教师全面策划。
　　    《视听指南》对系列录像的全部40个节日内容分别进行指导，既可供教师作为系列录像课的教学参考，又可作为学生的自学指导。
