　　蔡志忠，台湾著名漫画家。1999年12月8日获得荷兰克劳斯王子基金会颁奖，表彰他通过漫画将中国传统哲学与文学作出了史无前例的再创造。蔡志忠从十五岁起便开始成为职业漫画家。1976年成立龙卡通公司，拍摄了《老夫子》、《乌龙院》等长篇动画电影，曾获1981年金马奖最佳卡通片奖。1983年开始创作四格漫画，至今己有《庄子说》、《老子说》、《大醉侠》、《光头神探》等100多部作品在44多个国家和地区以多种语种版本出版，销量超过了4000万册！他连续两年获台湾10名畅销书作家之首。蔡志忠用简洁生动的线条描绘了一部部颇具影响的漫画书，在台湾、香港、新加坡、日本、马来西亚等地广受欢迎。他的作品庄子说、老子说、禅说、史记、西游记、聊斋系列等开启了中国古籍经典漫画的先河。
