　　    中考是全面考查初中毕业生在义务制教育阶段掌握的英语语言基础知识和所具备的综合语言运用能力，包括听力、英语知识运用、阅读理解与书面表达四方面的内容，主要采用听力、单项填空、阅读理解、完形填空、书面表达等题型。另外，不少地区还根据本地的英语教学特点，创造性地设计了一些题型，如任务型阅读、情景对话等。除此之外，很多试卷还保留有一些传统类型的试题，如语音、单词拼写、句子翻译、改写句子等。
　　    目前，中考前，英语学科一般采用三轮复习的方法：第一轮复习一般是按单元对教材进行扫描和梳理，教学的中心围绕教材开展。第二轮复习是基于一轮之上的专题、专项整合，是在更高层面上对中考常考和必考的内容进行归类和总结。第三轮复习是模拟冲刺阶段，以综合运用训练为主，加强实战演练，积累临场经验，强化应试技能，最终提高应试能力。
