Peimin Ni (倪培民),Professor of Philosophy at Grand Valley State University, USA, was a graduate of Fudan University in China and go this Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut. He is the President of the Society of Asian and Comparative Philosophy, former President of the Association of Chinese Philosophers in America, and was a keynote speaker at "World Public Forum" in Europe. He is the author of numerous books and articles, including On Confucius (Wadsworth, 2002) and a chapter on" Confucius" in Oxford Handbook of World Philosophy.
Through a systematic "gongfu" reading of Confucius, this book shows how Confucius ideas are different from dogmatized or overly intellectualistic understandings of Confucianism and how the Master s insights can be a rich resource for re-enchanting the world and the contemporary life.
