　　    As stated in the Science Plan for Asian Monsoon Years （AMY 2007——2012） （Wang et al. 2010）， a number of monsoon research activities and field projects are being planned in the time frame of 2008——2010 in China， Japan， India， Korea and many other countries and regions. All funding supporting these projects comes from the individual nations. The AMY 2007——2012 will coordinate these national level projects into international monsoon research for the benefit of all interested parties.
