　　吴祯福（1937-），女，汉族，江苏人，中共党员，教授。1960年毕业于北京外国语学院英语系。1980年至1981年在澳大利亚悉尼大学历史系进修，1987年至1988年在英国利兹大学历史系及应用语言专业进修。自1960年起在北京外国语大学任教，开设本科各年级多门实践课及澳大利亚、加拿大历史选修课，还主持过英语系澳大利亚研究教研室的科研与教学工作，为硕士研究生开设澳大利亚历史、澳史中有争议的问题等课程。曾于1986年、1988年、1995年分别被澳大利亚和加拿大官方邀请作为访问学者在麦夸里大学和温哥华大学等进行学术研究。主要研究领域为英语教学法（重点研究听力与口语）、澳大利亚历史、加拿大历史。专著：《英语的听与说》、《澳大利亚历史1788年至1942》。主编：《英语初级口语》、《英语中级口语》、《英语高级口语》、《英语自学口语教程》、《看图说英语》。参与编著：《大众英语》、《实用英语写作》。论文：《加拿大与美国在历史和社会方面的主要差异》、《加拿大——一个多元文化国家》、《澳籍华人在澳洲历史上的贡献》、《冗余现象与口语教学》等多篇。1996年《英语口语教程》（初、中、高3册），获得第8届中国图书奖。《英语口语教程》录音带获得国家教委音像教材一等奖。多年获得基础阶段外语教学陈梅洁奖，并于1998年获得华为集团研究生教学奖。1993年享受政府特殊津贴。

　　《英语口语教程3：英语高级口语（重印版）》共有28课，内容包括对各种问题的辩论，诸如青年人的思想情绪、广告的优劣、寻找对象的方式、妇女的地位、住房改造、对“大锅饭”的态度、对老板的态度、工作的意义、独生子女的教育等等。
