　　 　　《全球化时代的美国》是2008年在四川大学举办的“全球化时代的美国”国际学术研讨会提交的论文汇编，作者为来自国内外美国问题的研究者。全书遴选的五十多篇论文，按照大会议题分别纳入全球化、文化、政治、教育、文学5个部分。虽题名为“全球化时代的美国”，但也不乏研究美国文化对中国的影响的课题，如“Impact of US Culture on China”（“美国文化对中国的影响”），“The Influence of American Fast Food on Chinese Culture”（“美国餐文化对中国文化的影响”）。无论是探索一个专题——“中国的美国研究”，还是研究一个系列电视片——“Inquisitive American Women in the Age of Globalization”，甚至一部作品、一位作家、一个现象，这些文章均观点鲜明，逻辑清晰，论证有力，对20世纪以来美国社会发生的重大变化，包括政治、经济、社会等变化，以及美国文化进行了跨学科、多层面的解读，为加强东西方学者的学术交流提供了一个有益的平台，也必将推动我国美国文化研究的进一步发展产生积极的影响。
