作者简介:托马斯·哈代,英国诗人、小说家。曾为建筑师,后致力于文学创作 , 不久即成为职业作家,著有多部长篇小说以及短篇小说、诗歌、诗剧等作品。代表作有《远离尘嚣》(1874)、《德伯家的苔丝》(1891)、《无名的裘德》(1895)等。 译者简介:张冲,文学博士、教授,先后执教于南京大学、复旦大学及厦门大学。多年来从事英美文学教学、翻译及研究,除学术专著及论文外,还发表译文 450 余万字,译著包括莎士比亚传奇剧四部,以及《耻》《欧米伽点》《摩尔战纪》《大草原之旅》《摩格街谋杀案 : 爱伦·坡小说选》等。
